Leonards November 2011 Property Auction Report
It was the end of an era for Leonards property auction team when Mike Ashforth took to the sale rostrum for the final time on the 30th November at the K.C. Stadium. Mike has been a well known and highly regarded Valuer and Auctioneer and is retiring as a partner from the firm at the end of this year after 45 years at Leonards. The auction included 7 lots which ranged from terraced investment and freehold properties through to a chapel conversion in Lockington. 44 Endeavour Crescent had been sold previusly so 6 lots were offered, 3 of which sold in the room and 1 was sold aferwards, a 71.5% sales success at present, with interest being shown in the 2 unsold lots, Mike remains confident these should be wrapped up before Christmas.
Leonards auction team will be headed up by Mark Broadhurst, partner at the firm aided by recently recruited valuers Martin Russell who was previously manager at Reeds Rains Holdernss Road office and Angela Allison a well known agent and valuer who worked in the former Hunters office also on Holderness Road. Mark, a Chartered Surveyor has been at Leonards for over twenty years and has gained considerable experience as a valuer and auctioneer who is dedicated in providing a traditional method of auction within the city, stating "vendors can remain confident in the knowledge that at the fall of the hammer, they have a sale of their proeprty and they will get their money within twenty eight days or sooner". Leonards are pleased to continue with property auctions in Hull and alrady have several lots lined up for their next sale scheduled for the end of February or early March 2012.
